Scott Spendolini

Scott Spendolini is president and founder of Sumner Technologies, a small consulting firm which specializes in Oracle Application Express training and services. Spendolini has assisted a number of clients from various industries with their Application Express development and training needs. Prior to founding Sumner Technologies, he worked for Oracle Corporation for almost ten years, the last three of which he was a senior product manager for Oracle Application Express. He has presented at a number of conferences, including Oracle OpenWorld, ODTUG, and IOUG and is co-authoring a new book, Pro Oracle Application Express, which should be published this summer. Michael Hichwa

Michael Hichwa is vice president of Software Development, Server Technologies for Oracle Corporation. He leads Oracle development efforts for Application Express, SQL Developer, SQL Plus, Migrations, and Windows technologies. Mike was the inspiration behind and still actively codes Application Express. Mike was named the 2006 VAR Magazine Technologist of the Year Runner-Up for his contribution to Oracle XE, Application Express, and SQL Developer. He has been with Oracle for 18 years with the last 10 in the development organization.

Steven Feuerstein is considered one of the world's
leading experts on the Oracle PL/SQL language, having written
nine books on PL/SQL (all from O'Reilly & Associates),
including Oracle PL/SQL Programming and Oracle
PL/SQL Best Practices. He has received various awards
over the years for his work on PL/SQL, including Oracle
Magazine PL/SQL Developer of the Year in 2003 and 2006.
He is the only ODTUG presenter to win three awards—the 2005
Best Presentation, 2005 Editor’s Choice Award, and 2002 Best
Presentation Award. He has taught thousands of PL/SQL
developers and DBAs in seminars throughout US, Europe,
Australia and Latin America.

Sam Drake

Sam Drake is an architect in TimesTen Development at Oracle. He has been a member of the TimesTen team since 1996, spending time in Development, Product Management and now as an architect. He joined Oracle Corporation in 2005 when it purchased TimesTen. He has given numerous presentations at Oracle OpenWorld and to customers about TimesTen. Prior to TimesTen he spent eleven years at IBM Almaden Research Lab.

David Gambino

David Gambino joined Oracle Corporation in December 2006 and is responsible for product management of Oracle database tools for application development. Prior to joining Oracle, David led the database technology organization supporting Bank of America’s Global Corporate and Investment Banking business. He has specialized in database technology throughout his entire career. David has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a M.S. in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology.

Doug Gault

Doug started developing with Oracle in 1989 with version 5.1b and has been involved with Oracle ever since. He has been fortunate enough to have been involved in projects all over the world, spending most of his time focusing on Oracle’s web technology. Doug is currently the Product Development Director for Hotsos Enterprises and spends most of his time focused on commercial product development using Oracle Application Express.

Ronnie Lashaw
Managing Technical Consultant, The Tesla Group, Inc
Ronnie Lashaw has more than twenty years' experience delivering IT solutions
and fifteen years experience with Oracle technologies. He is a founding
partner of and Managing Technical Consultant for The Tesla Group, Inc.
(http://www.teslagroup.com), a small consulting company that specializes in
Oracle technology integration services and APEX solution delivery. He is a
published author of a number of technical articles and was a contributing
author to Oracle Unleashed. Ronnie has worked directly for technology
leaders such as Oracle Corporation and the Research Triangle Institute.
While at Oracle, he was a member of the Oracle Power Objects development
team. He has contributed to projects for AT&T, BASF, Boeing, City of High
Point, EnergyUnited, Food & Drug Administration, Grumman, Hyster, IBM,
Lockheed Martin, NASA, Pepsi, the US Air Force, Wachovia, and more. While at
Oracle, he was a member of the Oracle Power Objects development team.
Professional experience includes: technology consultant; systems architect;
infrastructure management; operational support; requirements, design;
development; testing and deployment of database solutions; project
management; personnel supervision; sales and marketing; quality assurance;
testing; training; and product development. Activities and responsibilities
have involved commercial corporations and government agencies both in the
United States, Canada, and Mexico. Recent presentations include Oracle
OpenWorld 2008 - ODTUG Oracle Application Express Symposium. Ronnie is
currently focused on delivering and integrating APEX business solutions into
enterprise environments.

Greg Jarmiolowski

Greg Jarmiolowski is an independent Oracle database consultant specializing in Application Express development. Greg has been working with Oracle databases since 2000 when he became a consultant to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to migrate their FoxPro systems to Oracle and ASP and then HTMLDB. Greg also worked for CASEtech, Inc., where he helped introduce Application Express to several federal agencies.

Anton Nielsen

Anton Nielsen is president of C2 Consulting, Inc., a technology solutions firm specializing in Oracle technologies. Anton is an Oracle Fusion Middleware Ace Director and has presented at ODTUG and Oracle OpenWorld, as well as local user groups. Prior to founding C2, he was employed by Oracle for ten years and by the U.S. Air Force as an officer and scientists.

David Peake
Principal Product Manager, Oracle Corporation
David Peake has been with Oracle for more than fourteen years. The first thirteen years, he was in Oracle Consulting in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S. Within consulting, Davids primary focus was on large custom development projects. The last four years in consulting, he worked on a very large project, using APEX (or Project Marvel, as it was called then). Before that, David primarily developed applications using Oracle Forms and Designer. In 2006, he joined the product development team as the Oracle Application Express (APEX) product manager.

Bharat Pappu
Principal Consultant/Solution Architect,

Bharat Pappu is a principal consultant with more than ten years of experience using multiple Oracle products. He has worked with Oracle APEX for the past two years, specifically to re-engineer and rebuild the Army’s Enterprise Real Property Planning System. Bharat has also lead several software architecture teams to support and implement DOD IT systems involving technologies like MS Project Server 2003, Cognos 7.X, and J2EE (Struts-hibernate) applications. Bharat has also worked with DOD data architects to ensure system compliance with federally mandated Enterprise Architecture frameworks. Bharat has a master’s degree from George Washington majoring in information technologies.

Michael Rosenblum
DBA, Dulcian, Inc.
Michael Rosenblum is a development DBA at Dulcian, Inc. He is responsible for system tuning and application architecture. Michael supports Dulcian developers by writing complex PL/SQL routines and researching new features. Michael is the co-author of PL/SQL for Dummies (Wiley Press, 2006). Michael is a frequent presenter at various regional and national Oracle user group conferences. In his native Ukraine, he received the scholarship of the President of Ukraine, a masters degree in information systems, and a diploma with honors from the Kiev National University of Economics.

Scott Stegemann

Scott Stegemann has been designing and developing Oracle applications for more than twenty years starting with Oracle 5.1 and Oracle Forms 2.1. Prior to co-founding Opis Resources, Scott worked with Oracle Consulting on several large custom development projects as an analyst, developer, and project manager specializing in Oracle Designer and Developer tools. He was a co-architect of the $40MM Chicago Police Department CLEAR system, where starting in 2001, he worked together with the Application Express development team when APEX was called Flows and was still in development. Scott currently develops APEX applications for a variety of companies throughout the US and enthusiastically introduces APEX to all new clients and prospects.

Tim St. Hilaire

BAE SYSTEMS
Tim St. Hilaire works for BAE SYSTEMS, a leading aerospace and defense company. Working with various software development tools for the past 10 years, Tim became involved with his companies ERP implementation in June 2000, and his first exposure to Oracle technology. Following the implementation of the Oracle E-Business suite, Tim focused on Oracle software tools including Portal, HTMLDB, and APEX. Currently Tim leads a team of developers that are focused on managing complex, cross functional implementations of applications, in which Oracle Application Express is a major component, to provide value to the BAE SYSTEMS business.

Jason Straub

Jason Straub has been a developer on the Application Express team since October 2000, before it was officially a product. Jason’s primary development responsibilities for Application Express are installation and upgrade, as well as support for Web services.
